Riding a motorcycle for transportation and enjoyment continues to grow in popularity.  CCCHD wants everyone to be a safe and responsible rider.

To promote being a responsible rider, CCCDH has partnered with the Clark State College to obtain grant funding from the Ohio Department of Public Safety to offer Motorcycle Ohio in Clark County.

For 25 years, Motorcycle Ohio has provided classroom and actual riding instruction.  The most popular class is the Basic Riders Course (BRC).  The BRC is designed to teach basic riding skills for the beginner and sharpen riding skills for those that have riding experience.  No matter what experience one may have, everyone will feel comfortable in this class.

Highlights of the BRC are:

  • 16-hour course
  • No experience is needed
  • Motorcycles and helmets are provided
  • Requires only a valid Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC)
  • Successful completion earns the BMV skill test waiver for a motorcycle endorsement

The classroom portion of the course is provided at the Clark County Combined Health District and the motorcycle range is located at Clark State College.
