Drug Disposal Box Location
Clark County residents have several options for getting rid of unwanted medications, as summarized below:
The Springfield Police Division has installed a Drug Drop Box at the division headquarters, 130 N. Fountain Ave. The box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to dispose of all pills, patches, and liquids in sealed containers. Needles and syringes are not accepted. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office accepts all prescription medications, except for needles and syringes, at the East District Office, 3130 E. Main St., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed holidays). For information about this program, call Sgt. Ralph Underwood, 521-2100.
The German Township Police Department also offers a drug take-back box that is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon at 3940 Lawrenceville Drive. For information about this program, call 964-9105.
The village of Enon accepts any medications, except for liquids, in the Government Center lobby, 363 E. Main St. The drop box is available any time the center is open, usually Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
