Representatives from several local nonprofit and social service agencies met recently to discuss existing needs and opportunities for service to Haitian immigrants in Clark County.
United Way serving Clark, Madison, and Champaign counties convened the meeting with the intention of identifying current services provided to this underserved population in the community; and each organization’s capacity to provide language assistance for its own programs, as well as for other programs within the community, and to potentially identify gaps in service.
The Clark County Combined Health District works to provide Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services to all individuals in Clark County, and CCCHD actively collaborates with community partners to provide comprehensive and culturally appropriate services to our neighbors throughout Springfield and Clark County.
